Who looks after your data

TheLifeSeed is developed and operated by VSN Business Solutions LTDA (VSN Solutions), the controller of your data. Contact for any privacy matter: info@vsnsolutions.app.

What we collect

• Account: name, email, password (stored only as an irreversible hash), language, time zone and, if you like, a photo or avatar.
• What you record: mood, emotions, contexts, notes, vents, voice recordings and their transcripts, photos, meals, sleep, people and encounters, routines, 7-day experiments and documents you upload (for example, test results or reports).
• Garden and Nucleus: your plants, each day's care and the activities suggested, done or saved.
• Gift seeds: name and email of the sender and the recipient, the letter written and whether the seed was accepted.
• Notifications and emails: your preferences and, if you turn them on, your browser's or device's technical notification address.
• Security and usage: date and type of each sign-in, device and browser type, and a masked IP address (the last digits are removed).

We do not collect location, address-book contacts, advertising identifiers or payment details.

What we use it for

• Making the app work: keeping your journal, showing patterns, growing your plants and preparing your history.
• Transcribing audio and suggesting Nucleus activities from a summary of your entries.
• Sending account emails (welcome, password reset, gift seeds) and, only if you want them, reminders, summaries and news.
• Keeping the account safe, preventing abuse and fixing bugs.

We do not sell your data, we do not show ads and we do not use third-party tracking tools.

Legal basis

Entries in an emotional journal can reveal health information. That is why we ask for your explicit consent when you sign up, and you can withdraw it at any time by deleting your account. Other data is processed to provide the service you asked for and, for the sign-in log, on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping accounts secure.

Artificial intelligence (Solaris)

Audio transcription and Nucleus suggestions are handled by Solaris, VSN Solutions' own artificial intelligence service, running on a server contracted by VSN. We only send what is needed: the audio to transcribe, the text of an account to organise, or a summary of your recent entries — which may include short excerpts of your notes, your mood, and the names and relationships of the people you added. None of it is used to train models or kept by Solaris after the reply. Suggestions are not a diagnosis or treatment.

Who we share it with

• Hostinger, the hosting company where the app, database and files are stored.
• Orion, VSN Solutions' own email system, which receives your name, email, language and email preferences to send messages. Orion never receives what you write, your mood or the names of people in your diary: automatic emails carry only counts (how many moments, which days had entries), the title of the suggested activity and links to the app. Your contact only joins the news list if you turn that option on.
• Browser push services (Google, Apple or Mozilla, depending on your device), only if you turn notifications on; they deliver the alert without access to your journal.
• Google Fonts, which serves the app's fonts and receives your browser's IP address when loading them.
• People who receive a seed from you see your name, your letter and whether you are following it. People following a plant only see whether it is being cared for, never your journal.
• Authorities, only when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Your data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account we immediately remove your journal, audio, photos, documents, plants and email contact. The sign-in log is deleted automatically after 180 days. For deletion requests we keep only an irreversible hash of the email and the date, to prove the deletion took place. Hosting backups are replaced in the normal backup cycle.

Your rights and controls

• See and download your data: Your account → Privacy and data → Download my data (JSON file).
• Correct it: name, photo, language and preferences right in the app.
• Delete your account: Your account → Delete my account, or without signing in at vsnsolutions.app/thelifeseed/delete-account.
• Emails: turn reminders and news off in Notifications or with the link at the bottom of every email.
• You can also ask for access, rectification, portability, objection or restriction at info@vsnsolutions.app, and complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, encrypted service keys, per-account data separation and IP masking. No system is perfect: if something serious happens, we will notify the people affected and the authorities, as the law requires.

Cookies and on-device storage

We only use what is essential: a session cookie to keep you signed in, a cookie with your chosen language and the browser's local storage for display preferences. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

Minimum age

TheLifeSeed is meant for people aged 18 or over. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, it will be deleted.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in an important way, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change applies. The date at the top shows the current version.
